About the role
You will run engagements from the first scoping call to the final report, coordinating engineers, clients and external labs. The role suits a technically trained manager who gets more satisfaction from moving complex work forward than from doing it alone.
What you will do
- Plan each engagement: scope, milestones, resources, budget and client communication.
- Turn client questions into clear work packages and decision points.
- Track progress, risks and budgets, and escalate early.
- Coordinate external laboratories and partners when testing is subcontracted.
- Build the templates, workflows and quality checks a growing team needs.
In your first year
- Run every active engagement on a shared plan with visible milestones and budget.
- Introduce the delivery templates and quality checks the team uses by default.
- Manage at least one multi-partner or publicly funded project.
What you bring
- Degree in engineering or a natural science.
- 6+ years in technical project or programme management, ideally in energy, chemicals or R&D.
- Experience managing work with external clients, partners or funding bodies.
- The ability to keep several engagements moving at once without losing detail.
- Clear written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Publicly funded R&D programmes or consortia.
- Working knowledge of hydrogen, battery or fuel cell technology.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or a similar certification.
What Redionix offers
- Direct responsibility for technical work that informs real decisions.
- Variety across electrolyser, fuel cell, flow battery and materials programmes.
- A small team where the quality of your thinking counts more than hierarchy.
- Close work with the leadership team and with clients.
